Pacquiao returns home, welcomed with honors in General Santos City

 MANILA, Philippines — Filipino boxer and senator Manny Pacquiao is back in the country, a day after his controversial defeat in Australia. He arrived at the General Santos International Airport Monday and was given military honors.
 The 38-year-old Pacquiao absorbed an upset loss to Australian Jeff Horn in their 12-round welterweight title fight in Brisbane, Australia Sunday.

 The loss was a controversial one as stastistics showed Pacquiao landing more punches against his Australian contender, 182-92. Pacquiao, however said he accepts the decision of the judges and is looking forward for a rematch. "I didn't expect that. But it's part of the game. I respect that." he said. 

His trainer Freddie Roach, meanwhile, said he will discuss with Pacquiao whether to continue fighting or retiring. "Because I think maybe being a senator and being a fighter, both is just maybe too much." he said. Pacquiao yielded the WBO welterweight title to the undefeated Horn.
