''NPA Muling Humirit'' 6 police officers killed, 2 wound in an ambush by NPA in Negros Oriental
Police chief and 5 personnel, were killed by NPA ambush in Negros Oriental.
According to Col. Eliezer Losanes, commander of the 303rd Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army,a councilor and two more policemen was wounded in the same incident.
The police personnel responded to a call that Sangguniang Bayan member Edison dela Risa was ambushed by suspected NPA members in Barangay Magsaysay.
But on their way to the area, suspected members of NPA fired their guns towards the police officers. The 79th Infranty Battalion is now conducting pursuit operation against the terror group.
On Wednesday, the suspected members of NPA also ambushed the members of the Presidential Security Group(PSG).
