Magnitude 4 quake jolts Davao Oriental

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Sunday morning recorded a magnitude 4 earthquake in the waters of Davao Oriental. Phivolcs.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology on Sunday morning recorded a magnitude 4 earthquake in the waters of Davao Oriental. 

The quake shook Davao Oriental around 10:03 a.m. Its epicenter was located 204 km south 55° east of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental.

The tremor with depth of focus of 60 kilometers, was tectonic in origin.

Phivolcs did not record intensities in the quake.

In its advisory, Phivolcs said it is not expecting any damage nor aftershocks.
