Mayweather tires McGregor, stops UFC star in 10 rounds

Floyd Mayweather Jr. waited for UFC star Conor McGregor to tire before going in for the kill, stopping the game Irish in 10 rounds of their megabuck duel Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In a fight many expected to be a lopsided one in favor of Mayweather, McGregor made a good account of himself in the first four rounds. He tagged the smaller Mayweather in the head a good many times before he began to lose steam.
Mayweather picked the pace up from the fifth round onwards, backing up McGregor with crisp blows until the Irishman's legs can't take it anymore.
Referee Robert Byrd stepped in to halt the bout with about a minute left in the 10th round, awarding the undefeated Mayweather a TKO win.
"He's a lot better than I thought," Mayweather said of McGregor.
The American star notched his 50th win in as many fights.
