GOOD NEWS: Goodbye 'ENDO

There are now more than 16,000 workers who became regular employees after present administration's campaign against "endo", short for end-of-contract or labor contractualization.

According to Labor Secretary Silvestre Belo III, the employers voluntarily processed the regularization of their employees that now reached 16,183 employees from the different companies.

This is equal to 15% of the total number of employees belong to illegal contractualization. Most of them are working in the industry of manufacturing, mall, food chain, hotel and restaurants.

Eradicating the "endo" is one of the promises of President Rodrigo Duterte to Filipinos during the election campaign period.

During the election campaign period, Duterte expressed his strong objection of the "endo" practice in the country and said if he will be elected as president, he will call on the House Speaker, Senate President and and majority of congressmen to pass a law to end labor contractualization.

"Contractualization will stop. They have to stop it. It is an injustice committed against the Filipino people.I will not allow that as president of the country", he said during a debate.

He also said that the practice of "endo" will not help the Filipino workers to get a good job abroad because they need at least three years experience to get hired.
