PNP Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa confirmed that the authorities already identified the suspect who left the bomb that killed 14 people and injured 70 others in Davao City on September 2.

Yesterday, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa confirmed that authorities already recognized the identity of one of the four suspects who left the improvised explosive device that killed 14 people and injured 70 others in Davao City on September 2.

Witnesses have positively identified the suspect based on the sketch released to the public on Wednesday.

“He is already identified based on testimonies of people in the area. Two massage parlor attendants gave his true identity,” Dela Rosa told reporters.

However, Dela Rosa refused to reveal suspect’s name.

Despite of the clear evidence that the explosive used is a signature of a terrorist group, Abu Sayaff, there is still a great possibility that the masterminds are Narco- terrorist based on the report received before the bombing happened.

The PNP is now conducting a man-hunt operations against the suspect.
